We recently completed our first short film, The Fat Lady - She Just Wanted to Be Called by Her Name, a project that reflects our commitment to telling bold, thought-provoking stories. Looking ahead, we aim to produce more content, including feature films and TV series, that continue to push boundaries and make people think.

I'm Rita Avellar, CEO and founder of Avellar Productions, a writer, and a creative storyteller with a deep passion for artistic expression.
With over 20 years of experience in the creative industry and a background in Fashion Design, I’ve explored and expressed my creativity in diverse ways, continually pushing the boundaries of storytelling.⠀
My Story
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since the first time I learned how to read and write, I wanted to create. Create stories, poems, ideas, tell something through words and imagination. When I think about my entire life, I always associate with being creative and it was that creativity that led to different professional paths.
